All Astoria Compass products are constructed with a high standard of quality. All goods are of contract quality and are suitable for commercial/contract use. Please read below for specific information.

Hardwood Frames:

We only use reinforced frames of kiln-dried hardwood (7-9% moisture content), with corner blocks. All lumber is treated to be insect and vermin-free. Legs are fitted with heavy-duty non-rusting nylon carpet glides.

Wood Finishing:

Our standard finishing process includes a multi-level wood finishing process including sanding, application of penetrating stain, 2 coats vinyl sealant, 2 coats precatalyzed lacquer.


No-Sag, sinuous loop, high-carbon steel springs provide long-lasting comfort and support. Cushions feature high quality foam which meets CAL117 flammability testing. It has a 1.8 lbs/ft density with a 14-18 lb (+/- 2lbs) IDF range and 85% IFD retention. It is tested at 95% Compression, with a 55% rebound rating. All cushions are wrapped in 2 layers of Dacron.


All hardware is contract grade and certified to be corrosion-proof.

Sleeper Sofa Mechanisms:

Sleeper sofas feature Leggett & Platt 3500 Classic Square tube mechanisms, an industry standard. Leggett & Platt carries a 3-year warranty for these mechanisms.

Care, Cleaning & Maintenance

Your Astoria Compass furniture requires some routine maintenance. For normal cleaning, dust furniture daily with a slightly damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Wipe dry with a dry, soft cloth in the direction of the wood grain to remove dirt and fingerprints. Do not use aerosol-powered cleaners, polishes, waxes, abrasive cleaners, or oily polishes. Upholstery should be spot cleaned only.

Proper care and maintenance will prolong the life of your furniture and help preserve its beauty. It is also essential to preserving your rights under this Warranty.

One-year limited warranty

This Warranty is our promise that, for a period of 1 year from the date of delivery, each piece of Astoria Compass furniture will be free from manufacturing defects in materials, workmanship or construction.

Limitations on the coverage of our warranty

Improper Care and Use

We will not repair or replace your furniture if damage is caused by improper use, by improper maintenance or by improper cleaning. This Warranty does not apply if product damage results from the use of detergents, cleansers, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents on the furniture.

Accidents, Abuse and Normal Wear and Tear

This Warranty does not apply if an inspection by Astoria Compass reveals that product damage results from abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents, including without limitation burns, cuts, tears, scratches, scuffs, stains and cracks.

Freight damage

This Warranty does not cover damage cause by common carrier. If a product is damaged in freight, a claim with the carrier may be filed. Any damage must be declared when the goods are received and indicated on Bill of Lading. Please provide photos of the damage, quantity of pieces damaged and brief description of the damage.

Upholstery Exclusion

All fabric is COM. Since the manufacturers of upholstery fabrics do not guarantee their products for wearing quality, colorfastness, fabric shrinkage, wrinkling or stretching, Astoria Compass cannot extend a warranty against these problems to you.

How to make a claim

All goods are inspected prior to shipment. If the possibility of a manufacturer defect exists, a claim must be filed with Astoria Compass. Please provide the PO and item numbers as well as photos of the piece and a description the problem you are having with your Astoria Compass furniture. Astoria Compass will contact you to further discuss the issue and may arrange for an inspection of your furniture.
